As a vital member of the People Support & Resources Team, you’ll be at the forefront of our team member experience- owning day-to-day HR processes, supporting culture-building efforts, and ensuring Mainstay’s values are embedded in every part of our team’s journey. You’ll work closely with team members and leaders across the company, supporting talent acquisition, benefits administration, compliance, and performance development. We believe in Work-from-Anywhere AND in the value of in-person relationships. We provide nearly unlimited flexibility to work remotely, but we do hold team meetings and all-staffs in person. We maintain a beautiful office in Manchester, NH and a satellite office in Laconia, and we encourage each team member to choose their own balance of home and in-office work, that maximizes wellbeing. This role requires time each week in the Manchester office. Applicants must live within driving distance.

You’ll work closely with team members and leaders across the company, supporting talent acquisition, benefits administration, compliance, and performance development. This is a hands-on, people-first role where your ability to connect, solve problems, and navigate complexity will directly contribute to a thriving, values-driven culture.
What you will be doing
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
- Lead and improve end-to-end recruiting processes, from job requisition to new hire integration, ensuring a consistent and positive candidate experience.
- Partner with and guide team leaders through the process, creating accountability
- Conduct initial screenings and arrange team interviews to create great fit and alignment for both candidates and Mainstay
- Maintain prompt communication and feedback throughout the screening and interview process
- Develop sourcing pipelines through partnerships with organizations, universities, and community programs.
- Refine and conduct onboarding new team members, improving engagement and cultural alignment
- Assist in maintaining Mainstay’s employer brand and employer profile pages as necessary

- Manage day-to-day benefit administration including enrollment, audits, communications, and issue resolution.
- Serve as a key point of contact for team member benefits education and support.
- Assist during annual open enrollment
- Create opportunities for team members to utilize VTO benefits
Learning & Development:
- Coordinate and support learning initiatives including onboarding, compliance, and leadership development programs.
- Maintain and expand the internal knowledge base of training resources and learning content.
Team Member Relations & Compliance:
- Advise managers and team members on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist in resolving complex team member relations matters, escalating as appropriate.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure HRIS and team member records remain accurate and compliant.
- Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local labor law developments to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Own HR Administrative support tasks
- Recommend and implement culture-building activities.
- Support and enhance performance review cycles, compensation updates, and career development planning.
- Assist with People Team projects focused on improving team member experience and workplace culture.
- Partner with leaders to organize team engagement activities and ensure team connection across locations.

Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
- Solid understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and HRIS systems.
