SOC Analyst
The Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst works with our SOC team to resolve multiple alert types originating from our clients’ systems. This role helps maintain critical security layers, resolve issues before they impact clients, and provides a valuable second set of eyes on important processes. It serves the broader team through rapid response, saving time and improving the quality of service.
What You Will Be Doing
- Respond to security alerts related to Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and XDR endpoint protection alerts
- Prioritize alerts, determining which to tackle first when there are multiple alerts within each priority
- Manage our User Security Platform (USP) tools to support the security posture of Mainstay and our Clients with tools to include vulnerability scanning, phishing testing, dark web monitoring, account control reporting, and security training platform administration.
- Collaborate with internal teams on Incident Response, Security topics and questions
- Understand current compliance frameworks, security best practices, and regulations that impact security management
- Respond to reports of security incidents, following up with internal teams and with clients as necessary
- Support the NOC technician with network and system alerts where needed
- Support projects led by the SOC team
- Help implement and support Threatlocker
Your Background
- One to two years in a SOC, entry-level IT help desk, or IT support role
- MCP Certification preferred but not required
- A+ (Plus) Certification preferred but not required
- Relevant security certifications helpful (Security+)
- Threatlocker experience is preferred but not required
- Education focused on technology and networking is preferred
- Knowledge of standard SIEM platforms
- Expert problem-solving skills and the ability to recognize patterns
- Strong communication skills with both clients and team members
- Excellent technical aptitude with an understanding of basic computer language

- Self-motivated with the ability to stay on track and focus on priorities
- Knowledge-driven with the ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Travel between offices and client sites may be required

Location
We believe in Work-from-Anywhere and in the value of in-person relationships. We offer strong flexibility to work remotely, while also recognizing the importance of face-to-face connection through team meetings, all-staff gatherings, and in-person client meetings.
We maintain a beautiful office in Manchester, NH, as well as a satellite office in Laconia, and we encourage each team member to choose the mix of home and in-office work that best supports their well-being and effectiveness. While coming into the office weekly is encouraged, it is not required.
Because this role includes regular in-person client meetings, applicants must live within driving distance of our clients, offices, and team events to support client relationships, onboarding, and ongoing collaboration.
